Attention to Detail was built around a simple belief: great haircare starts with listening.

Attention to Detail began with Carla’s lifelong connection to hairdressing, inspired by her father and the care, pride, and craftsmanship he brought to his work.

That early inspiration helped shape the salon’s approach today: professional hairdressing and barbering in a space where people feel comfortable, listened to, and looked after. From colour and restyles to fades, trims, and everyday family haircare, the focus has always been on thoughtful service, honest advice, and care in the details.

Located on King Street in Palmerston North, Attention to Detail brings hairdressers and barbers together under one roof, creating a relaxed and inclusive salon environment where everyone feels welcome.

Meet the Team

Carla

I have 25 years experience in the hairdressing / barbering industry. Having bought Barber Queens and started Attention to Detail, life is very busy both at work and at home. I have a blended family of 5 children. Two children of my own (and two grandchildren) and three stepchildren, varying in ages from 20 to 33 (including four grandchildren). In my spare time I am the lead singer in a Classic Rock Covers Band. So, you may have seen us play at a local bar or private function. If I still have spare time, I also love to spend time with my family, watch the kids when I can, and head off for a night or two to chill and relax with my fiancée.

CJ

CJ, short for Carla Jane, is the newest member of the Attention to Detail team. She works full days on Tuesdays and Wednesdays each week and is focused on building strong connections with her clients. With a friendly approach and dedication to her craft, CJ is ready to help you look and feel your best.
